The Purpose of the Malawi
Mission is to bring together people of different cultures
strengthening mutual understanding and support through a common
belief in Our Lord Jesus Christ. We will encourage and support
people from different Christian denominations in the United States
to travel to Malawi for participation in the work of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church of Malawi. To this end, we will provide funding for
health and education, infrastructure and transportation aid for the
church and the people of this country. Malawi Mission will engage in
outreach to the persons within the United States to facilitate
learning about the needs of the people of Malawi. We will engage in
fundraising activities to support the ministries of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Malawi and other mission work in that country.
